Prerequisites are required courses to be taken before entry into more advanced courses (see course descriptions). Most courses numbered 150 and above require the completion of English 90 as a prerequisite. Prerequisites may be waived upon instructor’s permission. All course prerequisites are specifically identified in the course description section of the catalog. A grade of “C” or better in the prerequisite course or courses is often required before the student can enter the more advanced course(s). Students are encouraged to consult with their academic advisors regarding course prerequisites and proper course sequencing in their selected fields of study.
