| The Associate of Arts (AA) degree provides development
and understanding in the content and methodology of the major genres
of study, awareness of the traditional cultural aspects of Samoa and
the Pacific region and preparation for students planning on continuing
their studies by transferring to a four year college or university.
Specifically, graduates in an Associate of Arts degree program will
have achieved the following learning outcomes: |
| 1. Comprehend, interpret and evaluate information
received through different media. |
| 2. Write and speak clearly to a variety of audiences. |
| 3. Understand and appreciate the development of societies
and cultures in human history. |
| 4. Utilize informed decision-making processes for
the benefit of the community, and to promote our environment and a
healthy lifestyle. |
| 5. Conduct research, draw conclusions, communicate
results and apply findings. |
| 6. Analyze patterns and functional relationships to
solve problems and determine causes. |
| 7. Understand and appreciate the meaning of artistic
expression. |
| 8. Understand the application of technological systems. |

| Students graduating with an Associate of Arts degree
must meet the following requirements: |

| 1. Complete general graduation requirements. |
| 2. Complete general education requirements. |
| 3. Complete program requirements. |
| 4. Meet residency requirements of, 15 credits toward
program be completed at ASCC. |
