| Associate of Science |
| The Associate of Science (AS) degree is awarded to
students who successfully complete a program of occupational, technical,
professional and general education courses. The purpose of the Associate
of Science degree program is to prepare students for employment, and/or
to continue education in their prospective field of interest. Specifically,
graduates in an Associate of Science degree program will have achieved
the following learning outcomes: |
1. Apply acquired knowledge and skills
in real work situations.
2. Demonstrate ability of conceptual, analytical and critical modes
of thinking for problem solving in the workplace.
3. Recognize effects of technology in the work place.
4. Develop responses to current conditions that impact the work place.
5. Develop insights into human experience, and apply them to personal,
occupational and social relationships.
6. Recognize relevance of career choices to life-long learning. |
| *Technical and professional standards will be referenced
for all theory and practice. |
| Students graduating with an Associate of Science degree
must meet the following requirements: |
1. Complete general graduation requirements.
2. Complete general education requirements.
3. Complete program requirements.
4. Meet the residency requirements of, 15 credits toward program be
completed at ASCC. |
