• Graduation Requirements • Graduating with Honors • Valedictorian /Salutatorian Criteria
Valedictorian /Salutatorian Criteria
Valedictorian and Salutatorian distinctions are granted to students who have earned the highest Cumulative Grade Point Averages (CGPA) and who have met the criteria listed below. The CGPA are calculated out to three digits past the decimal and rounded up at 5. For example, a CGPA of 3.966 would round up to 3.97, and a CGPA of 3.962 would round down to 3.96.

.1. All credits must have been taken at ASCC prior to graduation.
2. Credits earned by examination, transfer courses from other institutions and challenged courses are not considered credits taken at ASCC and therefore would disqualify a student .
3. A student must complete his/her degree program within five (5) consecutive semesters. Summer sessions are not included.
4. The student must have no “F”, “W/F” or repeated (R) grades.
5. A maximum of three (3) withdrawals are allowed.
