Summer Session will allow admission to high school
students who are entering their Junior or Senior year. The fall
and spring semesters will only allow admission to high school students
in their Senior year. These students must have a Cumulative Grade
Point Average of 3.5 or higher.
Students are not limited to the courses the may take,
providing they have met the required prerequisites. Test scores
(ASCC, SAT, TOEFL or ACT) are required for English and Math placement.
Required documents for early admission include the
student’s high school transcript. The student must also provide
two letters:
1) a letter of recommendation initiated and signed by his/her high
school counselor, and also signed by his/her high school principal,
and
2) a letter of consent from his/her parent or legal guardian.
Early admission students may take no more than two
classes during the Summer Session. During the fall or spring semesters,
they are limited to one class only. These classes must be college
level, i.e. numbered 100 or above; early admission students will
not be permitted to take remedial classes.
ASCC classes open to early admission students are
limited to the ones held on-campus, unless approved by the Dean
of Student Services.
