The Social Science Department offers
transferable courses and an Associate of Arts in Public Administration
for students planning to further their education at higher institutions
of learning, and prepares students for careers in history, political
science, sociology, psychology, anthropology, geography and
education. The department provides a diverse spectrum of courses
to acquaint students with historical processes and cultural
developments, interrelationships amongst peoples and the dynamics
of societal elements reflected in mankind’s religious,
political and technological progress. Moreover, we seek to foster
in students respect, peace, justice and a quest for learning
that will continue throughout their lives. The chair and faculty
hope that the knowledge gained by students who take the Social
Science classes will help their them live resourceful, moral
and rewarding lives. |
